I want to do my hair green and purple. Right now, I'm coloring it green. Soon I'll add purple. What I want to know is how can I maintain it from bleeding when I shower? How can I keep the purple, purple and the green, green? Please help!

It's a matter of keeping your colors separate when washing. And if you use cold water it'll help with the bleeding. Also, wear a shower cap on days you're showering but not washing so that your hair doesn't get wet. Honestly, when I had teal and purple and pink and purple in my hair, I got too lazy after about 2 weeks of maintaining separate colors and just let them bleed into an ombré. But keeping your colors separate is possible if you're patient and diligent. Good luck!

Thanks! This helps give me ideas. But I may get lazy. Haha. I'm a lazy person at times.

Use cold water you don't need freezing cold just cold. To maintain it wash your hair with half shampoo half color. Be careful on that part. You really don't want to use dandruff shampoo as it will fade the color fast and don't get in swimming water. (Cosmetologist)

Yeah, I already know this stuff because I color my hair a variety colors already and have for years now. I'm just not sure how to go about 2 completely different colors such a purple and green. Blue, pink, purple is easy because they mix well unlike green and purple. Regardless, I decided not to do it and I just went green. But thank you anyway for your input. :)

my hair is dip dyed and my green and purple bleed into eachother and they created a really gorgeous shade of blue in between them, so consider just letting them run into eachother, also stay in the middle or so of the shower, so the dye won't end up getting on the walls
