So I want to get a gel or felt tip liquid eyeliner. Which one do you recommend for doing small winged eyeliner and for someone that hasn't used gel or liquid eyeliner before? I have pencil liners and they don't really give the crisp line that I am looking for. And what is a good and inexpensive brand of eyeliner?

My all time favorite liquid felt tip eyeliner is the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liner. It is extremely black, just the right amount of glossy, and literally will not budge. I know it's practically a sin, but I have slept in it and it didn't even change. The pen is also very thin and flexible so it is so easy to use and get the flick just right. It is $20.
If you are looking for something less expensive I do also love the Elf Liquid Eyeliners. The are also really black and have nice staying powder. Whatever you do though, stay away from the Elf Cream Eyeliners, they are flat out awful.
If you want a gel eyeliner, the Maybelline Eye Studio and L'Oreal Gel Eyeliners work just fine!

Elf eyeliner is the best liquid liner out there! Elf also have the best gel/cream eyeliner too! And the patti dubproof and revlon color stay pencils liners can be either smokey or crisp.
