Curly hair problems!

I have super curly hair and I need help on how to style it. I tried various hair styles from Pinterest and from other online sources. The hair styles just doesn't seem to come out right or the way I want it because of my thick curls. Any thick curly hair hairstyles ideas?

I have myself very curly hair and you feel your pain gurl!! I like to either do a side french braid and pull it into a side pony, or I like do a regular bun, and when I'm feeling fancy, I like to do a topsy turvy side pony ( like when you flip it ) and that's basically it. Sorry I don't have any pictures:(

Same problem only mines not thick. I just have a lot of fine strands.
I love doing high buns with curls falling down its a good 3rd or 4th day style.
