I've heard from several people that solar nails and acrylic are the same, but why are solar nails so much more expensive, and what's the difference? Also can you paint over solar nails? Thanks (:

One of the main differences between acrylic nails and solar nails is that they only need to be re-filled every three weeks. Acrylic nails need a refill about every two weeks or so. Solar nails do not require a polish to be applied because after nail technicians smooth them out, they are good to go. Also solar nails, have a two step application process... They are more expensive because they are more efficient. They don't yellow or anything as quickly and don't need to be refilled as often.
Hope this helped!!:)))
