Well, color oops is a color stripper, so it's only meant to be used if you have dyed your hair darker than it naturally is. if you have naturally dark hair, it won't lift that. you would have to bleach or use a 30-40 vol. developer to lighten your hair. you can certainly ask Symone B, she's great with hair and hair dye. here's her profile: http://www.beautylish.com/profile/riqxypi.

It depends what you're trying to remove, it doesn't remove Demi or semi permanent colors, but it can sometimes remove browns. It usually doesn't remove black at all, but it can lighten it. It does smell AWFUL and does damage and dry out hair. You also have to do exactly what the instructions say, or it can return the color. But it depends on the color you used and the condition of your hair. It's a hit or miss thing. It's worked 50/50 for me.

It sorta worked for me when I tried to take the pink out of my hair. But it melted my bangs like craaaazy..I used it exactly as directed, too.
