I'm all natural but I wear my hair straight. My beautician does a "silk press" on me once a month. I just keep my hair wrapped. I also use flexi rods to keep the heat off

If you google "straighten hair without heat" a lot of you tube vids will pop up that you may find helpful. Here's one :)

There are other styles you can try besides straightening it! You can try curl formers, Bantu knots, twists, and so many other styles, yaya!! Try some natural hair sites , like curlynikki and black girl long hair , they all have tips for transitioning without heat!! Straightening your new growth, even with heat protectant it can still damage it!

What Cali and Alexis said. just think of your head as a giant roller. it will take the shape.of your head and smooth out and look fabulous!

Braids make my hair less thick, by braiding at night and then combing them out and then I usually put it in a bun. But it doesn't make it completely straight.

You can roller set your hair. All you have to do is apply large rollers to medium size sections in your head. Let it dry completely. When you take it down your hair will be straight with very loose curls. You can brush the curls out if you like or keep them. Hope this helps
