A suitable RED for me? Advice please!

Hey ladies, I was hoping you could help me!
I have a wedding coming up and so I have been playing with my makeup looks each time I get ready sorta in preparation for the event. I have decided on a dress (dark Navy blue) and I was thinking a red lipstick would look nice, but I have NEVER EVER in all of my 29 (gasp!! ) years worn a red lipstick. I have dark hair, very blue-black, and dark blue eyes, with cool undertones (which I know is totally odd considering I'm half Mexican). Anyhow, is there are red any of you would recommend for me? Please and thanks!
Btw, I think it is amazing how many smart, talented young ladies we have on here! I love reading everyone's posts and advice, especially when you can just tell someone Knows what they're talking about!

Cali, it's not My wedding, just one I am attending. :) If it were MY wedding I would for sure NOT be putting on my own makeup. That's one day I would definitely call in the professionals! ;) I just spent some time looking at the Sephora lipsticks though... Which leads to another question - how do you chose the best nude?? I'm realizing right at this very moment that I am pretty lipstick naive. I always just wear the same plumping gloss I have had forever. Lol.

Wet and wild spot light red is dupe for Ruby woo, the difference is that Ruby woo is more matte n wnw is more satin. (Plus it's only like $2 so maybe you can pick that one up and play with it on since your not use to wearing red. I think they are both blue toned red.) That's also something else you might want to consider when choosing a red, what type of finish do you what.
