Has anyone ever taken biotin supplements? have you seen results?

I started taking them last week and I know that I won't see results right away but I don't want to keep taking them if they don't work.

What you need to know is that Biotin was developed for people with Biotin deficiencies. So, that means that most normal people get enough in a regular diet that they shouldn't take supplements. That said, if your hair is very healthy it's already growing as fast as it can, so the Biotin won't do anything.

That, and Biotin can have bad effects (like horrible cystic acne) if you're taking it when you don't need it as your body is getting to much.

If you eat a lot of eggs, which has biotin in it, I woulnd't take it. But me, having food allergies and not beinf able to eat a lot of certain foods, I take it and yes I notice a Huge difference! My hair and nails grow faster and look healthier and also my skin. But if you also get too much biotin I noticed it kinda does the opposite effect, so I lowered my dosage.

I actually gave biotin to my horse (the veterinary told me to) to make the hoofs stronger. In that case it worked wonders, so maybe it can do some good things to humans too haha :-)
