You what they say: get a trim every for weeks so your hair will grow faster/healthier... I am never so lucky. I cut my ends and they immediately get damaged, so I cut those ends of, and the process repeats until I eventually am left with no hair.
Ok I'm exaggerating, I do have some hair, its a little passed my shoulders, but at the rate I'm going, I will have no hair.
I hate my hair!

I would wait a bit longer to cut it, but take really good care for it.

Here's a few tips to keep your hair healthy and avoid split ends :)
-no heat (when necessary, use a heat protectant)
-take vitamins
-drink plenty of water
-when hair is wet, be very careful with it and only gently comb with a wide tooth comb; no brushing
-wash hair only in cold water
-use treatments like coconut oil, argon oil, keratin, and aussie 3 minute miracle (my fave!)

Go for deep conditioner on the ends every time you shampoo and forget reg conditioner. Use a moisturizing repair shampoo. I color the crap out of my hair and rarely get cuts. Oh ya I only blowdry like twice a month and wash 2-3 times a week. I use a dry shampoo often. My hair grows slow but vitamins seem to help.

Are you cutting your own hair?? if that's the case your scissors may not be sharp enough which will exacerbate the damage
