How to use this eyeliner?

I got the Too Face 3 Way liner as a gift and I'm at a loss on how to use it. I tried using it to just line my eyes and it looked awful! It have me stripes. I hate to waste it- any ideas?

Well using it on its side gives you a narrow line without stripes, and turning it 90 degrees to get the three thingies horizontal is what you did I think? thats supposed to work, maybe try pressing a bit harder?

I think you can use it to tightline. The 3 prongs really get into the roots of your lashes and press the liner in.
