If this is for hair, you can also try mayonnaise. Let it stay for few hours and wash it with lukewarm water. Add your fav conditioner.

Obviously you have to heat up the coconut oil first (if it's the white solid one I'm thinking of) but let it cool a bit before you add the egg or you may end up with scrambled egg :)
