I think it will look good either way, but from someone who has done the chop: it's awesome. Your head feels so light and your hair becomes so easy to manage. It's hard to actually style, just a heads up, but I didn't mind that.

You will probably suite short hair BUT I personally think you look better with long hair, maybe get a block fringe or get cut 2 inches off? :)

I think it'd suit you but make sure you really think about it before cutting it all off, my friend had long hair like yours and she cut it to just under her shoulders last week and she regrets it so much!

Be sure you really, really want it. I shagged my hair, and it was great for awhile, but it's a pain to grow out. Also, when your hair has more weight on it, it gets more flat, sort of. When it's short, it's more prone to poof.
