I just discovered a cold sore on my bottom lip this morning and I have a date this afternoon! Does anybody have a quick remedy for a cold sore?

Honestly the only thing that's EVER worked for a cold sore for my would be abreva

I would try to cover it up with concealer or lipstick... It'll be awkward to explain to your date though.

There is this subscription medicine that you might be able to get by then but if you can't get it for next time a cold sore pops up!

The only way I have found to stop and prevent cold sores is abreva. if you want to try to cut down on swelling you can try icing it and taking an anti inflammatory. the patches that moni posted look good for covering them up too. oh and if it is right on your lip, one thing I have done is apply a lip plumper everywhere on my lips but where the sore is, that way you can't tell that that spot is swollen because everywhere is lol.

I use abreva and at night I apply honey on it. Honey has natural antibacterial properties and it really helps me! I would apply some concealer, lipstick, and gloss. Even though that's not good for it since you have a date it's understandable. I would also lie to be honest cuts down on the awkwardness

And I've tried those patches and they are COMPLETELY noticeable! It may cover it but it was obvious there was a patch on my lip
