So I have mild acne that scars my face most of the time and is pretty much always on the lower half of my face.
I decided to try Proactiv two nights ago and woke up the next day with my eyes swollen shut. Turns out it's an allergic reaction.
Obviously I'm not going to continue with this but the sad thing is it did actually minimize some of the acne.
I've tried almost all OTC acne treatments before this with no solution. Any suggestions on something on the same level as Proactiv?
I also tried birth control with accutane once but got severe stomach pains..

If you have mild acne you really don't need something as strong a proactive ,and it seems like you are sensitive ,I recommend you just use a Salicylic cleanser like neutrogena deep clean cream cleanser and use a tee tree toner, and a vitamin c.serum to help with the hyperpigmentation, and cerave moisturizer you can also spot treat with tee tree oil just put some on a q tip an dab it on the pimple and your lower half of your face if it is your jaw line its your hormones you can try a fish oil or flaxseed supplement it helps with inflammation.

I've actually had success with artistry essentials 3 step cleansing system. its the only.thing to ever clear my skin up and a lot of people have never heard of it! after a year of using it and now their makeup, I sell it and I barely use.anything else.

Thanks ladies! I've never heard of tea tree oil or artistry for acne. I'll give them a shot.
