what would be a good contouring color for someone of a NW40/45 in mac?

high end or lower end

Match your contour color to the shadows on your face. Ex. The color of your face under your lip (because there is a shadow there) is your natural contour color. Highlighting and contouring is based on how light hits your skin. Adding makeup merely exaggerates those places.

I do that for the most part, but I am still learning about how to contour & highlight the right places I have a round face & when I do facecharts their all so boxed and I contour better on those type of faces thats why I'm so confused when it comes to mine and when I do contour its like its barely there or even to dark so i have blend it more out to where I can barely see it again

are there any contour colors you recommend?

I just bought Lorac's bronzer/ illuminator duo and I love it for conturing! And if you're doing it for an everyday look, it should be fairly subtle and not too drastic

thank you,im gonna check it out now :)

I would recommend blunt blush by MAC, too-beautiful.com foundation c10. Contouring properly depends a lot in how you apply the products. What you use to contour can be blush or any kind of foundation. A general rule is to go 1-2 shades darker than your foundation. This is a pic where you see how I contoured my models face. Let me know if you need more help. I remember being frustrated about how to contour. It's easier than you think.
