I started wearing foundation even though my skin was PERFECT but it did damage to my skin and I actually need it now. Can anyone suggest a routine that won't damage my skin or look too cakey but won't be too light or fade throughout the day?

Btw I'm going to give my skin a break from it first.

What do you mean by it damaged your skin? Moisturize, prime/bb cream, foundation.

It might be the foundation you've been using. Your skin might not be agreeing with one or more of the ingredients. What are you using?

I have the same. Foundation is an awesome product, but I do find my skin covered in blemishes and color diffrences on different parts of my face when I use it frequently. I gave my skin a break too and it is getting better everyday. And I don't even miss it that much either, I only hate it that I can't use blush or bronzer without foundation, haha :-)

Oh, btw, if you want to get rid of blemishes: drink 1 glass of red beet juice a day and your skin will heal insanely fast! It tastes disgusting but it is worth it though.

Try different foundation. If you use a foundation brush wash it at the end of everyweek (like on a friday or sunday). Make sure you wash ALL your makeup off before going to sleep! Wash your pillow cases every two weeks also to prevent pimples and etc :)

You might also want to try a different face wash :) make sure to ALWAYS remove your foundation before bed. Clinique also has an acne fighting foundation. Good luck clearing up your skin!
