That sleeping with your hair damp actually creates breakage and I was wondering if that was true?

Also how can you do your hair so it doesn't make breakage when you sleep on it damp

(I take showers in the nighttime because its just much easier for me because I hate getting up in the morning to take showers and my house is super cold in the morning so it kinda sucks when you walk out of the nice warm shower into cold air:/)

Thanks everyone:)❤

Hmm I've never heard that I sleep with my hair wet. I'll normally put it in a French braid to keep it from frizz. No idea about the breakage tho.

I have and it doesn't. At that period of time I didn't have damaged hair at all it actually helped my hair grow. Your hair needs water to help it be nourished and grow.

It does cause breakage because wet hair is very fragile and easily broken. Sleeping on it can break the hair due to moving around while you sleep with your hair swiping against your pillowcase. Silk pillowcases and wearing hair in braids help control the breakage.

Not sure but I noticed every time I go to bed with wet or damp hair...when I wake up my ends feels awfully dry feels like hay

Yup, hair is much weaker when it's wet. There are sleeping caps that you can use to help with that.

I think so, but I sleep with damp hair almost every night, and I have very healthy hair-only a few occasional split ends. I don't use heat and have never dyed my hair, though.

I haven't heard that... But put it in braids to keep it from going frizzy... Also I think they make sleeping caps if you're really worried.
