It looks like eczema. The only reason why I say that is because my eczema looks like that on me. I get flare ups pending on stress and diet. Eczema comes and goes every seven years. Did you have eczema when you were pregnant? Use Eucerin's body wash and lotion, it's helps me so much!

I think it might be excema. my 6 year old son and I both have it. it also has its moments when it flares up. you need to give him a bath and use aveeno soap on him b ut don't use a wash cloth on him please just use your hands rinse well. as soon as you get him out of tub don't dry him off use cetaphil lotion on him use it generously rub in well. take him to a dermatologist. I think that it excema and he may need a steroid cream because he has a very bad flare up.

Good luck. also when he goes to bed put him in a light pair of pajamas to let his skin breathe and have air flow. believe me he will feel better. if you can get by with him not going outside keep him in same pajamas but put cetaphil cream on him many times during the day. I hope this helps. sometimes its hard being a mom but you both will get through this.

Maybe some food he's allergic too? My mom got tested for stuff and they put swabs of it on her forearm and she foundout she was EXTREMELY allergic to dust and horses lol, maybe get that done? Try changing his snacks to all natural but good stuff maybe food from like Trader Joes (if you have one of those stores where you're from, its basically like an all natural food store). Buy new body wash and maybe new bedsheets. Maybe he gets it from his school?

Everyone on here is suggesting it looks like something different. He needs to be taken to an ER right away so they can tell you what it is. Something as severe as that shouldn't be taken care of by "switching his bed sheets" or something. It needs to be investigated. Poor guy I hope he's doing alright :)
