So Monday I did this high sock bun which turned out pretty well but after the first 3 hours my head aches soooooo much that I removed it but my head would still ache if some one touches that area or even if my hair moved. It actually hurt for hours!
I guess that I tied my poney tail to tight (also I'm not used to tying my hair) But if I didn't tie it tight it was falling down..
Do you girls have any techniques that could help me keep it up and so that it doesn't hurt my scalp so much?

It sounds like you might have made the bun to tight, try to lose it a bit :)

The bun to tight or the ponytail?

Lose it up a bit and use bobypins. That's what I do when some parts fall.

But how can you make the sock (donut) hold on then? I mean, mine litrally falls off after a while aha.

Just take the ponytail and wrap it around itself. Does that make sense? Then, take another hair tye and tie that around the wrapped part. then bobby pin where needed :)))

Goody makes the swirly pins. I use and love them. It takes me three of those to hold up my bun due to the amount of hair and length. You can find the pins at Target, Walgreens and CVS.

I've had the same problem before but I found I didn't get headaches if the bun stays in place. So I used a bunch of bobby pins so the top didn't lean back so it won't pull away if that makes any sense
