So I really want to dye my hair like below but I have dark brown hair with red tones. Will I have to bleach it to get it like that?

Yes, or else the color will not show up.

Even for the light brown part? Is it possible to just dye it a lighter brown? Sorry I know nothing about hair lol.

It won't come out right, you can lighten it a little then dye it. But the volume of developer you have to use depends on if you previously dyed your hair. If that makes sense

Absolutely you will have to bleach it. Probably double process it too for the ends to be a light blonde(like level 7-10) for the color to be as vibrant as that. For the light brown, you want to lift like 2 levels. You look like a level 2-3 (dark brown) and you want to go to level 4-5(light brown.) need some powder bleach and like 20 volume developer for the light brown.

You'll have to bleach it or it will look like you dyed it with kool aid. But I actually really like that color but I wouldn't do too much of your hair so if it gets too damaged then you only have to cut a little section out.

Yes you would need to bleach it. I recently just bleached mine, my hair was a similar color to your and I dyed my a copper-ish blonde. If you stay pretty consistent (I'd say 2-3 times a week) with treatments then your hair would not be so damaged. I am very pleased with my hair. I say you go with it! 😃

And also Symone is totally right. You would have to do exactly what she said to get the hair that vibrant blue
