I was just wondering the difference between baked eyeshadow vs. regular eyeshadow. Does anyone have a particular preference?

I have both and I tend to use the baked shadows wet as when used dry they are too sheer for my taste. Also with baked shadows used wet I can skip primer because they they don't crease on me and the color is more vibrant. I don't have a particular preference...I just pick and choose depending on the look I'm trying achieve.
