I saw this photo on Pinterest and really liked the idea but wondered if it was practical or not. For instance will the coffee beans go off? Or will they damage my brushes?

@Emily, if by "go off" you mean go bad, then no. coffee beans are one of those things that just don't really go bad :s lol.
as for damage, I've heard over time the beans can cause little scratches on handle of the brush, where you shove them into the coffee beans. I personally would try to find something a little softer.. craft stores would have lots of options!

I think it would be better to use little beads (:
