Hi,
I did someone\s makeup and it looked quite powdery. any ideas or suggestions how to not have that? would the mac fix plus help here? usually i use model in a bottle as a finshing spray. also, she to-be bride has some facial hair on the sides of her cheekbones (and she is not into removal, laser etc... ) how can i make them less obvious, as i feel the makeup + powder makes them more obvious. i really appreciate your help!

Less is always more with powder. Which one are you using? I like MUFE HD because it doesn't show up on skin. The finer the powder, the less it shows. I also like to let the foundation air dry for a few minutes before I apply powder (especially if I'm using liquid). Otherwise the powder just sticks right to it.

less is always best,if u put to much u can take a damp paper towel and gentle press to remove excess powder

are you using downward strokes to apply the foundation or buffing it in? are you using a powder puff to press and roll or a powder brush?

Liza, usually i try to buff it in. i use a powder puff, especially as this is a bride and i really want to set it well. what are your suggestions of ways to do it?

I think powder brush, not too much but enough to set, good luck! :)

sometimes a buffing motion can get the foundation stuck in the hairs, so I would recommend using downward strokes with the foundation brush because that will help smooth the hair down making it less noticeable. I do recommend a press & roll technique for the powder with a puff, but be sure to lightly dust off any excess powder with a large powder brush so the excess isn't settling in the hairs. its much more difficult in the days of HD to be a MUA because every little detail shows up even things we don't want like hairs. I really do recommend the skindinivia setting spray too I honestly think it will help

I would also make sure you are applying the primer in downward strokes to start and hopefully it can kind of help to seal the hair down
