I'm only 13 and I'm not sure how much makeup I should wear. I know people have lots of opinions I'm just curious as to what others think.

In my opinion some one your age should never wear conceal or foundation. Nothing like that. It just wrecks your face for the future.
All I feel someone your age should wear is eyeliner and mascara and maybe some natural looking eyeshadow is any.
I'm 16 and I still don't wear any makeup most the time. Sometimes I do for fun or special occasions.

When I was 13 I wore brown or black liner, mascara, powder and/or foundation, lip balm or gloss, and lots of sparkly eyeshadow. I wore it badly as well, and back then, it was really at my parents' discretion. My mom is a cosmetologist and was super relaxed about what I could wear, but my dad was real uptight and used to hide my makeup. It depends on your comfort level, and your parent/parents'/guardians input. If you have nice skin, don't even worry about covering it! A touch of powder, some mascara and gloss is probably all you need hun.

I was wondering kind of the same question except I'm 14 and I just want to wear mascara do you think its age appropriate?

You should wear however much you feel comfortable in!

I honestly wouldn't wear much if it's not necessary. I'm 16 and I still hardly wear makeup. The most amount of makeup I wear is when I have cheer competitions. Other than that, I only wear eyeliner and mascara.

I'm 13 and on a daily basis I might put on some concealer, a bb cream, setting powder, mascara, eyiner and lipstick/gloss.. but if I'm going out I'd wear lkme eyeshadow foundation and all the others I mentioned but recently I've decided to just stick to eye makeup and I'm letaving my skin alone because I don't want to get spots.. But you should just experiment and have fun :) x

Mascara (maybe) and some lipgloss. That's what I wore when I was 13 and I think that's all 13 yr. olds should wear.

Please. do not wear more than lip gloss, or maybe blush. I started wearing face makeup at your age, and now I'm fighting clogged pores, acne, etc. it's so bad for young skin. please do not wear excessive makeup at your age. I should've held off.

Too young. the most you should wear is clear mascara and chapatick.

I'm 14 and I regularly wear a full face of makeup due to some acne and just very pink skin in general. It all depends on what looks okay, what you're comfortable with, and what your mom is willing to let you wear. Usually when I wore lighter makeup in 7th and some of 8th grade I wore some tinted moisturizer, light concealer for some acne, mascara, natural colored lip balm, mascara, and maybe some light brown liner and a nice light shimmery eyeshadow. As long as you know what you look okay in and know how to do it right then you should be all good. that's just my opinion. sorry for making this too long, hope this helps (:

These posts make me mad I know they are opinions but when it concerns someone else's body and face in the end telling them things like it's going to ruin your skin (as long as she has a good skin care routine she will be fine) and it's inappropriate just make no sense to me you don't own their body, their parents don't own it and their makeup skill doesn't determine what they should be able to wear. I do agree having parents that let you wear makeup is a good thing but in the end it is a personal thing to decide. Again to each there own but saying someone's makeup/hair/outfit is inappropriate for there age is like getting mad at someone's fast food order to me just plain ridiculous.

Now when I was thirteen my makeup was awful blotchy foundation,15 different eyeshadow colors and a neon lipstick but I had fun and I loved how I looked back then and no I don't regret looking fabulous because it gave me the chance to experiment and get it out of my system.
