As of right now I'm seven month post relaxer. and I was wondering of roller setting my hair once a week would be a good way to deal with the two textures. my hair is still pretty long and I've been cutting the relaxed ends little by little. and I was thinkin
g will this do more harms than good?

thanks

Hi Lourdes!
Roller setting your hair is definitely way more healthier than any available method. ( Blow drying, ironing, relaxers, keratin. )
I am actually saving up to buy one because in all honesty, when I do my hair the whole ironing piece by piece for an hour is really damaging and real tiring.
A good YouTuber to watch when it comes with dealing with curly hair types is MoeKnowsHair.
She is all natural with her hair and she had a video on how she does her hair with rollers, it comes out super silky, soft, and straight. Definitely worth checking her out. ☺

Roller sets, flexi rods, curl formers, two stranded twists, and Bantu knots are good styles.

I transitioned for a good six months before doing the BC, I didn't have the patience for it, or the skill at the time.

The curly Nikki hair care forums may be a good place for you to check out as it's a natural/transitioning hair forum. And her site and great information.

Always use a heat protectant, and always deep condition and treat your hair. Curly haired girls like us usually tend to have dry hair, so it is very important to continue maintenance with it.
I have done rollers a couple of times, and they always turn out so beautiful so I am positive that if you follow the right steps, you'll get great results. Good luck!
