Well my mom got one when she was younger, had two kids, and now her belly button looks horrible! I think it would be awesome if you got one, just not if you're going to have babies :)

I had mine. The pain is minimal, but the piercing itself is rather annoying. I always had problems with mine, I caught it on everything and the skin around it started thinning. Eventually it got ripped out when someone gave me a hug. I had it redone a second time & that one kept getting infected. Now my belly button is split and looks disgusting.

My friend got hers done and the only painful part was when they were holding the skin before putting in the needle and that's bearable. Also if you have kids the piercing isn't making the belly button look bad but the actual having kids part. My moms had 4 kids after her peircing and hers looks fine.

I had mines twice and I got an allergic reaction to the ring they used but I had a gold one for that not to happen and if you get it do not use the spays I used peroxide and anti bacteria cream it heals faster and it help a lot with the pain after?

I had it, it only hurt a bit but it's soo much work to take care of it if you really think about it. I had mine but then I got pregnant & I took it off, the whole it leaves is rather unattractive to be honest, mine doesn't look horrible but it doesn't look pretty lol, I think you should really consider the cons of having one. For the first months when it's healing, you have to be really careful with it, try buying the spiky toon called Bactine, that helps with the healing so much! Also, many will tell you to use table salt to clean it but it's not safe even though many swear nothing happened to their's, use sea salt :) when you shower, don't use a loofa because the holes on the sponge can get caught & rip it out (almost happened to me) don't do major exercises because the sweat could get inside the hole & infect it. Good luck!

I had mine pierced, mind of miss it. It was pretty painful. Especially since I watched the needle go through my skin lol. I didn't take care of mine so it got infected and I let it grow over.

I got mine peirced for my 15 birthday had it on four a year and 4 months then took it out when I was 4months preg. I had it out for about a year and then put it back in. when I don't have it in it looks like a raisin lol the skin is thin but when I have the ring it it doesn't look that bad.

@Keishley peroxide, anti bacterial cream, alcohol, and other things like that should never be used on piercings as they are much too harsh. That may be why you had a problem with yours.

I used a sea salt spray to clean mine thats what the piercer told me to clean it with. he said don't use peroxide it dries it out.
