I have the same problem don't peel the nails instead file them in one direction keep your cuticles moisturized I use the LA girl calcium builder you can get it at Sally's it helps a lot you can also take vitamins for hair skin and nails or you can use olive oil or any oils you put in your hair to moisturize your cuticles

Warm up a bowl of olive oil in the microwave and soak your nails in it for 5-10 minutes.

Sometimes I use olive oil to condition my cuticles and the nails themselves, it's cheap and effective.
