I just bought the loreal true match oil free and wanted some suggestions on the best way to apply it. I have an oily t zone and I sometimes get dry patches on my cheeks and near my mouth. I don't want my t zone to look oily but I don't want a powdery finish either. I mainly want to cover up some dark spots and a couple of little bumps on my forehead. redness near my nostrils. I also have peach fuzz on my cheeks near my jaw that I think makes my foundation look more cakey? I want medium coverage with a not too matte, not too dewy finish.

So my questions:
-would a primer help?
-concealer before or after? what kind of concealer?
-brush or sponge? what kind?

any other tips would be highly appreciated!

I have this foundation and I feel it applies well with a kabuki round or flat top. Def wear a primer before hand. I apply concealer after if I'm going to highlight. But if you need to spot correct for dark spots you may want to apply concealer before. I use the age rewind concealer or my mac studio concealer in NC30. But it's important to find products that are going to work for your skin type. So practice applications n see what works for you. Hope this was helpful.

Deffinitly use a primer. I have this foundation and I apply it with a beauty blender, oh and I do concealer before foundation, and then after as a highlight.

What primers do you recommend? drugstore preferably...

what about facial hair though? is there a way to make it less noticeable? or is removing it the best option?

Nyx has a gd primer. N for the facial hair, I believe if you apply your foundation in the direction it grows and not against it, should help. But I'm no expert in that department!
