Realistic Fake nail?

I just applied a fake nail to try it out and it looks really fake. I filed it but you can still tell. How do I make it look like my actual nail?

Make sure you have the correct size the nail being to big or to small makes them look unnatural if you are stuck between two sizes were one is to big but the other to small file down the edges of the bigger one. Next make sure you cuticles are really pushed back and that when you glue on the nails it is over the top.

Also a few layers of polish to make sure the light doesn't shine through the tip

Try to choose a size same as your real nails.

I personally think that one looks pretty real! I agree with Bryanna, I wouldn't have known if you hadn't said it.
