Okay so I have really bad acne right now and not even proactive helps and my skin is really oily. What do you recommend because I've tried everything and nothing seems to help.

Green smoothies for a year. It sounds crazy but it took a year of green smoothies for breakfast everymorning and my fave went from horrible acne to perfectly clear. It took time but it's so worth it. I still drink them everyday.

Try sulfur soap! It's a few bucks on amazon and works really well! A family friend told us about it and even my derm was really surprised by the results. I'm not sure if it works on all skin but it worked wonderfully on mine! My acne isn't completely gone but it's lightened my scars and gotten rid of most of it... The stuff smells horrid but it works and I use it every night.

I agree with Jacqlyn, its best to see a dermatologist, acne prone skin is a weird creature, you DO NOT want to mess with it. Before you use anything, you should get a skin exam so they will tell you what will be the best for you. I have less scarring cuz the moment I noticed pesky cysts, I ran to the doc, tried NO home remedies etc. And you might be allergic to things like lemon etc., so its best to not put your skin through hell and seek help, trust me, the skin will thank you.

My roomie is in love with everything organic and she's got moderate acne and didn't seek medical help for 2 years, not only did the acne get worse, but lemon application made her face skin stripped and not using the right products resulted in huge scars. Now she has no option but to pay a massive 10000 euroes for accutane, derma rollers, laser resurfacing and scar peels.
