I noticed that when I finish my face with powder...I'm disappointed. Don't know why...I love the look of my face with my Nars sheer glow foundation or even my 3 in 1 outlast covergirl foundation.
The powders that I use the most often:
MUFE HD powder pressed...the new one
Ben Nye banana powder
MAC msf in light
Bare minerals well rested for under the eye
And you ladies??

I hate wearing power ever time I put it on over a liquid foundation it makes me face look cakey even if it's the tiniest amount I don't know why it does that.

I recently stopped wearing powder on my face because of my extremely dry, dehydrated, flaky skin. Making a few changes and my skin is so much better. I still powder my nose , the areas on each side of my nose (to blur pores) & under my eyes, but I use a damp Beauty Blender NOT a brush. I also have well rested & it was crazy heavy for me. So I mixed it with some other powders I already had. I mixed Well Rested (for its coverage) & Laura Mercier (for its finely milled texture) and a loose Smashbox gold highlighter (for its luminosity). I use a setting spray on the majority of my face.

I need to as I have extremely oily skin but a few of my friends don't use it as they think they don't need it so I guess it personal preference.

I always set my foundation with powder afterwards and then follow with a mist of M.A.C Fix+ I think the Fix+ will give you the look you want, so you don't look so matte and powdery afterwards but more like fresh skin.
