What are the pros/cons of using a product with mineral oil? I'm trying to make up my mind about a moisturizer.

If you have sensitive and oily skin, it will inevitably break you out, they say the particles of mineral oil are too large to block pores, so I started using it, and the breakout was a nightmare.

Besides, mineral oil doesn't really have any moisturising properties, I mean it sure feels like it does, when I used it on my hair, it seemed detangled, but after washing it out it felt just as dry as before.

It's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Moisturizers that have mineral oil usually also contain glycerin or water. Mineral oil basically locks in the moisture that glycerin and/or water gives. Mineral oil stays on top of the skin. It's the same as olive oil. My mom has sensitive skin and the stuff that dermatologists recommend usually have mineral oil in it and she never had a problem using the creams. I have oily skin and don't mind them as long as it has glycerin as glycerin actually moisturizes the skin.
