So a few days ago I noticed a small red patch on my face that burned but now it has spread to my face. It's a little itchy, very dry, and burns like crazy. My face feels very hot. I normally have normal/oily skin, but for some odd reason it has taken quite a turn these past few days! Idk what could be causing this, any thoughts???? (Btw i have a history of eczema, and tried using my cream on it but no luck - it's not as itchy and rough as my eczema has been- it's more burning)

Im wondering if I should put any hydrocortizone on my face. Im just afraid it will make me break out (i normally use this after Im in the sun which I try not to go out in for long periods of time bc Im allergic - but I havent been out in it! arghh please help!!! )

I have no idea what this could be, maybe you had a bad reaction to something. Have you tried anything new recently? You should go see a doctor asap!

Ive been using cetaphil for a little over a week now for the first time.. thats all i can think of.. But i put a moisturizer on my skin 1-2 times a day so i dont think it would be drying it out

Maybe you are just having an allergic reaction to it. I would stop using it for a few days and see if it clears up. If it does then you know its the culprit but if not, you should schedule a doctors appt.

May be an allergic reaction you might not know about. Either to your new moisturizer or other product(s) you have been using. I'd see a doctor. If I get a rash of some sort, I take some antihistamines like Benadryl Non-Drowsy just to stop itching and swelling for temporary relief. Don't know if you'd be willing to try that...but don't do anything you are not sure of! I definitely don't want anything to happen to you! Let us know any changes!

I'm going to say you should consult a medical professional, your doctor or dermatologist immediately.

Sounds like an allergic reaction/hives to me.
