Bad reviews on good products...

Hey guys. So today I bought the Smokey shadow blast (blue) cream eyeshadow today. Prior to that purchase I hadn't read any reviews on it, I had only heard about it from my sister and her friend. When I got home before using it I went online hoping to find a video or ideas on how to use it - only what I did find was reviews saying people used it and it was terrible. However what they did was only use it without primer or a regular shadow with it. What I then did was try it myself. What I did was put a white snowy color on first, then I did the lighter blue part, and then a shimmery pigmented shadow over that and topped it off with the darker end. I have the same thing on my hand on the picture below, the lighting is off and I took it in my kitchen, so please exclude the random box of cookies in the background, lol. But over all its a really magical and snowy blue and so far I like the product. I think what the people who MADE the product intended you put a shadow with it, instead of leaving it bare.

(Also the black line in the middle is liquid eyeliner, I wanted to see what it looked like with it. Because of the brightness of the color and how crappy my eyeliner was, I had to do about 2-4 coats to make it pure black.)
