LOL I didn't know it was a reissue. This is the text sent to me from OPI:

OPI has kicked off the Spring 2012 shows doing the nails for BCBG Max Azria this morning! Samoan Sand (image attached) was used on models’ nails and toes. The nude look continues for Spring ‘12! Celebrity attendees of the show included: One Tree Hill stars Sophia Bush and Shantel VanSanten, and Happy Endings star Elisha Cuthbert. Please find the show images attached.

Yeah, it was a late 90's release, part of the same collection that had Pompeii Purple. At least they weren't all secret squirrel in renaming it, like they do over and over with so many colors.
