Hi everyone~
So I was wondering what everyone's favorite matte shadow(s) or palettes out there are. I was looking through my collection, and I noticed I don't have all that many matte eyeshadows. What are your faves and must haves? I do own the 120, Coastal Scents 28 Neutral and the 88 Matte Palette - aside from that, I'm looking for something with more variety. And I don't think using the 88 would suffice because I had an allergic reaction on my eyes after wearing it. Eyes were all dry, red, itchy, and flaky. Has that happened to anyone else? =(

The allergy sounds horrible. I haven't used the coastal scents palettes. I really love Sugarpill shadows, not all are completely matte but the shine that some of them do have isn't really anything I would consider pearl or shimmery. They are very vibrant and have fantastic color payoff! I have the cold heart palette but the single shadows are BEAUTIFUL.

Wet n Wild has some lovely matte shades in their 6 pan palettes and are great quality. I would snatch these up quickly as they are being discontinued. Inglot makes amazing mattes. The best mattes in fact, haha they have a large selection of colors so you can make a matte neutral palette, a matte purple palette, etc. Seeing as how the 88 palette is a wholesale item that is made in China and their is no 'one' distributer it also isn't the best quality it is possible to have a reaction. I would toss it or give it away to someone who has less sensitive eyes.

Ben Nye & La Femme have some awesome matte shadows.
MAC's matte2 finish is gorgeous, but sadly limited in colours.
Wet & Wild's coloricon palettes have some nice ones.. Vanity is my favourite.

urban decay makes great matte shadows! too faced put out a great matte palette and thebalm has the meet matt(e) palette too. :)

Makeup Forever has a variety of very pigmented matte eyeshadows. The downfall is that they are so expensive ( I believe 20$ a piece)....MAC has a good variety of matte colors also but again they are expensive too! oh yeah, and INGLOT FOR REAL has beautiful colors too!!!!! Would make you want to go crazy in there!!!

Thanks everyone for your suggestions! I'll check them out eventually ^__^ Hopefully after I've hit pan on a few eyeshadows so I can replace them.

I have to to agree INGLOT is amazing, unfortunately its not as accessible as MAC, Wet N Wild Palette in Vanity is my go to palette and I have drugstore eyeshadows to high end, but I love that palette from Wet N Wild
