Hi guys. What is your favorite powder to set your foundation with or wear alone? I'm trying to find a powder that would be great for me to wear alone (I don't wear foundation everyday) & also to set my foundation.

Well for setting foundation I used to use my Loreal Translude Loose Powder, unfortunately I ran out and I don't think they sell it anymore, so for now I am using Dream Matte Powder from Maybelline, but I did order some MAC Mineralize Skin Finish Natural Powder because it gives me an airbrushed look. I never wore powder alone, but my friend uses the powder from Physician's Formula alone.

I use ELF's HD powder for the more sweaty/oily-faced days.
Or I use ELF's Studio Pressed powder for normal oily day touch ups.
I sometimes use the dream matte powder to blot with... It's a great powder. & Sephora's Mineral Foundation is pretty good as well. :)

Do any of those powders have light to medium coverage when worn alone? I have UD Surreal Skin Powder Foundation but it's loose & I don't want to fuss with loose powder when I'm at school, it will take to long. I just want to be able to swipe my brush through it and apply it quickly.
@ Michelle - Does the MSFN break you out? I hear so many mixed reviews on it. I'm not too sure if I want to invest in it if I'm going to break out.

Mineralized Skin Finish has a light-medium coverage, and I would say Maybelline dream matte has a light coverage, more if you're using a powder puff.
MSFN would be my powder of choice, it's bang for your buck, has a natural finish and it doesn't bother my skin. If it breaks you out you can always return it and say you had an allergic reaction! Works every time. :P

Thanks Dylan, I think I'll check it out. I just hope I don't break out!

I had horrible acne, so I decided to switch to mineral make up for a few months and since my skin was finally able to breathe, my acne went away. (This with the help of changing my skin care regimine).
The brand I use is Meow Cosmetics (ONLY SOLD ONLINE). The range of colors is very overwhelming, but worth it. Since I like a little more coverage I chose their Feirce Feline line which covers exactly the same as concealer and liquid foundation used to do. :)

Angelique, I don't really want you to take my word because my skin never breaks out, so it's rare for me to find something that breaks out my skin. I wish I could be of more help! :(

@ Jane - I'm not too sure I want to order a powder product online especially if I can't test the shade out on my skin. I'm not too good on guessing which one is best for me by looking at the pictures. Thanks for the suggestion though!
@ Michelle - Its okay Michelle! I think I'll just test it out anyways. I'll just return it if it breaks me out.
