Is it good for makeup tutorials?

I would say no. The footage straight out of the camera is far from high quality & does not capture colors in their true form - the picture would need a lot of post processing. The lens is average at best.

All of my make up tutorials so far are w/a flip. It's Ok for a starter camera. I'm hoping to get a higher quality one soon.

It doesn't have auto focus, so I'd say no.

I used to use a flip camera for tutorials and it's horrible. If you just need a camera to record what you like to do and going on vacation, it works but the quality isn't very amazing. If I was you, I'd just invest in a good one:)

i know a girl on Youtube that uses the HD one an her videos are very clear but she says u need lots of light for it an hers end up breaking,i think its ok i mean the video format is MOV an that good quality, but i would say not to get it b/c the usb is attached to it an you can't see what your doing b/c it doesn't have a preview screen.you would have to use a mirror behind it to see your face, invest in a ok camcorder an get a softbox i soo want a softbox it improves even the worst video quality..btw most people on youtube use the Sony handy cam its a good camera

I have the Sony Bloggie Duo and it works really great for tutorials. It does HD and has a screen on both sides so you can see yourself! It has autofocus, and can be a little slow, but it works a lot better than my DSLR camera. I really love my Bloggie and would recommend looking into it!
