First day of high school was today :O
My makeup smear/gooped/died/dolloped/gawked/fell whatever by the 3rd period!
I wore skinny jeans n a blue n white stripped flowy shirt, had my hair curled and the blue streaks in my hair. Guess how i did makeup?
You guessed it:)
Eyeliner, mascara and a pigmented shiny blue eye shadow. I wasn't sure how to keep it from smearing and losing color so I did primer...
that did NOTHING.

I'm at a loss..whats some quick n easy but nice eye makeup?

What kind of primer did you use? What kind of eyeshadow? It has to be something with the brands you have chosen. I have Elf pigmented eyeshadow on right now, I put it on a few hours ago and have been outside in 115 degree weather, sweated, and my makeup is still intact.

I also use NYX eyeshadow base.

Hopefully we can solve this! :)

I used HIP eyeshadow duo, the dark matt eyeshadow on the crease and a super pigmenty glitteryish blue ( http://fingerpaintmakeup.files.wordpress.com/2011/07/loreal-hip-eye-shadow-duo_showy.jpg )
And ELF primer..

hmmm. Yeah I know I have heard good things about that Elf Primer, But I do NOT like it at all, I don't think it works.

Have you tried Urban Decay primer potion or MAC paint pot? I had my eyeshadow on for like 10hrs for a mexican wedding and it did not smear or even lose color and I live in hot hot Texas.

I live in HOT weather in the south. I usually first tone with lush's tea tree toner and then i use a long wearing foundation (revlon colorstay) and loose powder to matte. I use UDPP or ELF primer and use a cream eyeshadow as a base. I always have pressed powder with me and lipstick to touch up. The BEST peice of advice i can give you about long wearing eye makeup is to keep in simple. I'm not the best at taking this advice myself but if I know I'll be sweating during the day, all I wear on my eyes is primer, bare study paint pot all over, and then liner. You could punch it up with l'oreal's HIP cream eyeliner in teal or keep it simple with a black liquid/gel liner. You could make your lips bolder since you can update that throughout the day.

That's awful :(

Definitely try a different primer. Too Faced Shadow Insurance is very popular as is Benefit's Stay Don't Stray. Like some others said, it might be the shadow, too! Yikes.

Also, if your liner and mascara were a mess, definitely get some waterproof, smudge-proof products instead. I love Make Up For Ever's Aqua Eyes for liner and no matter what high-end or drugstore mascaras I try, I keep coming back to waterproof Maybelline Full 'N Soft and the original waterproof Maybelline Falsies. I live in New England so we only hit 100 for a little while in the summer, but we have unexpected rain and snow all the time so waterproof is absolutely necessary for me! Good luck!

What a nightmare!

As everyone else stated above, try another primer. Sometimes it just takes a while before you find the one that works for you.

I can't say much because it'd just be repeating exactly what everyone else said but as DJ M. says, try a waterproof eyeliner and mascara. Just make sure you get a good eye make up remover to get rid of 'em at night. Waterproof make up is great for the day but trying to take them off is just terrible.

besides using a better primer as stated above, make sure your skincare isn't eating away at your makeup too. if you've got oily skin use an oil free moistuizer with a sunscreen (garnier makes a good one). also take care to use make up that is geared toward oily skin too. that will go a long way toward keeping your makeup where its supposed to be : ) also if you use a very glittery/shimmery eyeshadow, you need to use a stickier eye primer. LA Splash makes a really good one. it's around $7 and you can find it at ulta. udpp and too faced do make good primers but i think those are geared more toward shadows with very little to no glitter/shimmer.

i love nyx's hd eyeshadow base for a primer. if you can't get your hands on that at an ulta, try one of their jumbo eyeshadow pencils. or for a bit more, i LOVE lime crime's eyeshadow helper. a bit costly, but so worth it. my eyeshadow doesn't come off until i take it off!

was it all of your face or just your eye make up?
(haha, did all of your face fall off? sorry, i'm 12.)

Maybe too much primer was used? Sometimes if I have too much it will crease and do a lot of funky things! If you have super oily lids then maybe you also want to invest in blot papers?

An eyeshadow that has really worked for me was the 24/7 shadow pencils from Urban Decay. They are expensive but I have worn them to music festivals in the blazing sun and stuck on pretty well!

I know the feeling! My too faced shadow insurance is halfway gone and now for some reason it doesn't work as well. It might help to apply a cream eye shadow after your eyeshadow primer to give your eyeshadow something to stick to. I found that that helps colors become much more vibrant and last longer without creasing :) Its also kind of inevitable with oily lids in the summer :-/ at least for me! -_-
