Worn out from Blogging

Ok ladies, don't laugh, but I have been officially blogging now for three days and I am exhausted already. So I need your help. How is blogging supposed to really work?

How often do you bloggers update your content? Daily, a couple of times a week, weekly, etc.

Thanks...http://www.exclusivelyglamm.com

what????? aww! no!!! how many posts do you write per day? maybe you need to pace yourself. Im defeinitly not a blogging expert but I do one post a day (maybe two). I would probably be exhausted if I was blogging for three days straight too. I read somewhere that as long as you update your blog at least every other day then thats fine. I dont want you to get sick of it and stop. Your posts are too good.

Thnx Kelley, I know girl. I'm still excited but it has taken a lot of my time. I think you are right, I need to pace myself. The problem maybe that I have 11 topics of discussion on my blog. Maybe when I get the hang of it and get a rythm, it will be easier. I'm also still trying to navigate through wordpress.

No way!!! I update mine 2-3 times per week. You don't have to post every single day! I'm sure you'll find a routine that works best for you!

I think it depends on the content that you have on your blog that determines how many times a day you blog. I haven't updated mine in a while but you find others who blog a lot in one day. When you start getting tired of it, it starts reflect in your posts, so I say take your time and blog when you feel the most inspired to do so! :)

Thnx Mandy and Jassmine...helpful. I think I will not try to overwhelm myself with this and take it slow.

I update a few times a week, but it varies depending on my mood. I usually aim for 3-5 posts a week though.

I try to post every other day, or even if I'm sitting at my computer and I get a really good idea for a post, I'll do a blog post on it asap. Even if I put one up the day before. Just find a schedule that works for you, or whenever the mood strikes

Really?:(

i just started mine this month, 2 weeks old to be exact and so far I am lovin' it. I just do it whenever I can and i try not to push myself so much that i get frustrated or exhausted. I can say I am more of a FB kinda person maybe because most of my work is there, but bloggin made me find new friends. :)

I tryyyyyyy to blog 3x a week, but I work full time, volunteer, and make videos... So it gets daunting! Just figure out what works best for you and your readers will appreciate the quality over the quantity! I found that I write little parts everyday for each blog. One day I'll edit pictures, the next day I'll start the blog & if I don't have time I'll finish & post by the next day! I usually take multiple pictures for different blogs first and then do each blog in segments like a said a second ago.

You can do it!!!! :-)

I post twice a week, on average. Monday & Thursday. I actually prewrite my posts and schedule them for certain days & weeks.
If I need to catch up, I'll post 3-4 times a week

I blog everytime I post a video on my YT channel, and the odd time inbetween, like a NOTD/FOTD/OOTD or something. so usually around 2-3 times per week, although sometimes I'm busy and only manage once a week. Don't feel like you have to blog 24/7, that's what Twitter's for ;) when you find inspiration or have something worthy to blog about, it wont feel like hard work, it'll be more fluent and fun! Also, over-blogging can really clog up your follower's inboxes. Good luck :) x

Good info...thnx all

The first year of blogging, I somehow managed to churn out like, a post a day. Now it's more like a post a week. You just need to find your rythmn. Blogging shouldn't really be a chore, you know? People prefer quality over quantity, and in order to get quality and not overstretch yourself you should take your time. Schedule posts in advance, have a set schedule if that helps.

There have been times I'd lose interest of get 'blogger burnout', and I wouldn't post for like, months. Other times I'd blog several times a week. My advice is that you should just blog when you feel like it, and if you are feeling particularly inspired, schedule posts so you maintain a predictable post schedule.

Anna, does that mean you use the "auto-blogging" feature?
