hello, ladies. so i want to dye my hair but idk what color to do currently i have it black and its really long, my skin color is like a medium brow with dark brown eyes, help what do you guys suggest?

You should get it done professionally if you've previously dyed it black. Black is the most difficult color - especially dyed black - to get dye over.

You can't lighten color with color, so you would have to bleach out the black first and then color it the color you want. But I think something dark but with red in it would look good on you

Maybe a golden brown/honey color....Or possibly adding small sections of highlights so it blends well since you have long hair....that would look really good too ^_^

if you have black dye in your hair and want to get rid of it there is a product called Color Opps, that is ammonia free and takes out dye. I'm blond and it took out the deep red I had put in my hair for a while.
as far as dyeing your hair try to stay within 2 shades lighter or darker than your natural hair. This is good so that there is less up keep because your roots won't be so drastically different.

Before anyone makes any recommendations on colors... what are you looking for? Brown? Blonde? Red? Other color? Are you adventurous and want something flashy and fun or something dramatic or sexy?
Personally, I would go with a red mahogany with chestnut low-lights and amber or copper highlights. But that's just me because I love red hair even if it's the most pain in the rear color to keep up.

thank everyone for your recommendations.. i have had my hair red and black cherry i want something that look sexy but i wont do it too light because i would look darker than what i am lol.. Yasmin by any chance do u have a picture of how red mohagany with chestnut low lights and amber would look like if you do i would love to see it.
