Oh I love free samples as well. Best bet to get samples is to go to the mall and ask around. Most companies will send samples if you purchase items, have a large youtube/blog following (most have a 25,000 minimum subscribers requirement) or if you write and ask the company.

Vapour Organic Beauty does a lot of giveaways on Facebook. I would say every other day at the least. And the chances of winning are great, because they usually pick 7 winners! All you have to do is "Like" their page, and when they have contests... "Like" their status. You will need to keep an eye out for your name when they announce the winners, because they usually announce the winner on Facebook -- they don't email you, since you're just "Like-ing" their status on Facebook.
And their giveaway is very generous. I believe they give a full size of their Stratus Skin Perfecting (don't know the exact name) stick. This has won tons of awards from Allure Magazine, etc.
I won twice so far, the first time I won the stick (which is about a $44 value), then I got a full size of their lipstick (which is probably about $20 something), and "samples" of their foundation stick and liquid foundation. They also include a card for $10 your next purchase (I can't remember if there is a minimum purchase amount).
The second time I won another Stratus stick, and a full size of their foundation stick (which is I believe $30+ value). Then another set of samples and another card for $10 off.
Vapour Organic Beauty is very good for highly sensitive skin like me (acne prone, etc.). I love their Stratus stick!
