I've had so much bad luck with limited edition items lately.
Kat Von D Truth palette - broken before I even left the mall. Exchanged it for a non-broken palette.
Wet 'n' Wild The Gilded Age eyeshadow palette - only got one use out of it before dropping it and one of the colors shattered. Couldn't replace it because it's a limited edition item and the store was sold out.
Milani paint wheel - noticed the crack in it but didn't think any of it. I didn't even get the chance to unwrap it much less use it before it shatter to the point it was nothing but a mixed powder.
Wet 'n' Wild We're Blasting Off had a crack in it but I didn't think any of it until my cat knocked it to the floor from the carpeted window bench to the carpeted floor. When I picked it up that whole area where the crack was at was shattered! Another LE item that I can't exchange since the store only bought one display.

Products shouldn't shatter that easy anyway!! Wow, I'm sorry this is happening to you - I'd be very frustrated!

That sucks! I had a limited edition palette from Stila, the Barbie palette that came out a few years ago, the black in it shattered and it was a huge mess. When I tried to clean the black out, the rest of the colors shattered...so sad cause it was one of my faves. Had to toss it :(

Well that really sucks Rachel. I've contacted Milani and was told had I kept it they would have sent me a replacement. I'm waiting to hear from WnW to see if they can send me a replacement.
