Honey, I would just say follow the youtube videos..There are tons of books out there. I would say to take a day at barnes and noble or your local bookstore and scan through them. Ebay is a good place to buy as well

I got into beauty through temptalia.com. Christine's reviews are amazing! Also follow some youtube beauty gurus. My favourites are xsparkage, amarixe, misschievous, vintageortacky, and makeupbytiffanyd. Hope that helps! :)

In addition to what has already been suggested I'd like to add another suggestion to look at books. There is a great book out there by Kevin Aucoin called Making Faces, it's kind of old but the section about contouring and highlighting is well worth buying the book. The book is large too, so it's easy to prop up by your mirror and follow along. Many years ago I worked as a freelance MUA strictly working with brides...that book was a huge help when I started off. Also, don't be afraid to play with your makeup...it's just makeup and you can always wash it off. :-)

Thanks ladies my biggest issue is eyeshadow,I can't seem to get the look right because I guess my eyes are kinda fat for lack of a better word lol and my crease is really low by my lashes so when i try to do the dark in the corner it ends up looking messy...

April, I hate putting eyeshadows on because I feel like I am my own worst critic. I never feel like it is good enough..although this morning I think I did pretty well :)
