I was just invited for an interview for Sephora/seasonal employment.
I don't have a lot of customer service experience but they saw my resume (they only accept applications in person and I brought one in) and they still asked me to come in on Wednesday.
I'm really excited and think I could do an amazing job, but it's been so long since I've interviewed for retail, and I've never interviewed for cosmetics, so I'm hoping those of you who work at Sephora can give me some hints or things to think about.
Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. :)

I don't work for Sephora (yet!) but I was recently interviewed. Among the questions they asked me were: What do you know about Sephora?, Why are you interested in working for Sephora?, If you witnessed a co-worker doing something they should not be doing, what would you do?, Have you ever had a problem or difficult time in dealing with a customer? If so, what was it? etc.
I think that what they look for most is that you are enthusiastic and would know how to handle your clients. Best of luck to you!! :)

Thanks Daisy. I always wonder about that "if you see your coworker doing something they shouldn't be doing?" question... is it best to talk to the coworker alone, or is it better to tell the supervisor? To me it seems like it'd depend on what they're actually doing...
I tend to overthink questions like that. ;)
Good luck to you!! Hope you get that job. :)

Thank you!! I answered with "tell the supervisor" and they seemed to be pretty pleased with that response.

I've got tons of experience in customer service/working with the public in my "regular" work-life but not much retail. I think I could do a great job as I have a real passion for helping the customer get what they want, and I believe that good customer service can make or break you (in most any industry).
I'm excited but a bit nervous. But I think that being nervous before any interview is normal. :) Thanks for the good wishes. :)
