Gel or acrylic nails? Which do you prefer & why?

I prefer acrylic mainly because they are generally cheaper for a full set/fill ins than gel and they are also stronger than gel nails. I'm constantly banging into things and I find they don't break as easy. Gel and acrylic will both have the same overall effect on your nails when you take them off tho since well your pretty much suffocating the nail, how bad they are when you take them off really depends on how long you plan on keeping them on etc

I like Gel more. Only because over time I noticed when I had Acrylics on -- the nails would get a little yellow, versus Gel remaining clear even on the 3-4th week. Gel is more expensive, but worth it to me. The moment I chose Gel over Acrylic I have never went back.

Gel is also better on your real nail then acrylic or so they say

And if I have enough money I choose a full set of Boogey Night nails. :)
