I'm looking to buy a new camera. I can only spend tops two hundred dollars. I need it to have a really good auto focus, because I need to show swatches and just the product in general. And I'm curious if it's worth it to invest in a white background. So ladies! Lay it on me!

No advice from me on the camera but as for the background...
You can make an inexpensive white background if you're handy by using 1 inch to 2 inch white PVC pipe plus elbows (don't glue to quickly dissemble) and some type of white fabric - either inexpensive white curtains from a store like Walmart or Target or make some using heavier fabric from a fabric store and use a 40% off coupon. It should cost less than $50 depending on the if you use curtains or fabric.
You could also use two queen size flat sheets and sew the tops then flip over the PVC frame so it's nice and thick as most sheets tend to be thin. I know I can buy two queen flat sheets for under $20 at Target.
