Hey my Beauty Barbarians i wanted to know something. it is a new thing i have been trying out as of lately (trying to get my skin back SUPER OOBER soft like it used to be but i cant remember my old regime) homemade body care skin solutions. such as putting mixtures in your bath, creating an exfoliant, homemade body mask, or lotion....WHATEVER!!! i would like to get a inside look on you guy's (and i mean that in the most non-literal term.....PROMISE!) creative side.
Question=
What homemade body care solution have you used in the past (or as of currently) that you believe (with a cross tied to your forehead) worked SOOO well OR you just cant see yourself (even with food and water) living without!!!!

to get rid of cellulite i used this salt scrub u would buy from the kiosks in the middle of the mall with the lil israeli guy asking to touch ur hand..omgggggg its soooooooooooooo amazing however its 42 dollars. an inexpensive alt: kosher salt and olive oil.. OR a few teaspoons of coffee grounds with just enough olive oil to make it moist and rub over ur legs for 10 minutes..

for a facial mask: rub pure honey on ur face for 15 mins.. rinse off..
for whiter under arms( bcz they tend to get dark from constant shaving.. ) half cup vaseline. enough baking soda to make into a dry paste.. rub onto underarm for5-10 minutes then wash off..

I have a few more.. lol..

For a moisturizing and extra relaxing night, I have a pair of pantyhose that I cut the feet out of, and fill the foot part with oatmeal and about a spoonful of cinnamon, then tie with a twist tie. Not only does it smell wonderful but it does wonders for my skin! It makes your bath water extra creamy, cinnamon helps release toxins from your body, and oatmeal has some amazing effects on your skin! I especially love to do this if I've spent a long day at the gym - it helps soothe my muscles and is a good way to wind down before bed. After I've been in the tub for about thirty minutes, I like to take the little pouch out of my water and lather it in my hands, then rub it on my face, neck, and chest. I like to sit like that with a warm towel wrapped around those parts and let it really sink into my skin for about thirty more minutes or until my water gets lukewarm. My skin has noticeably improved and I have an easier time getting to sleep at night!

My current favorite DIY trick is doing a quick oatmeal mask in the shower to reduce redness. It makes my skin feel really soft and moisturized, and WAY less red!

WOW you guys! so far so good! i am cetainly going to be trying some of these t home remedies soon for sure!!! but speaking of at home remedies i forgot to tell you guys some of my own personal favorites!!!!
I would like to reference Sarah K. on her tip about the honey.....o....m....g!!!! i absolutely love love love honey (eating iit and for beauty purposes!!!).
i use honey as a deep conditioner for my hair (olive oil mixed with honey, sugar and honey, or just plain honey), as a face mask (plain honey), for my baths (sugar mixed with honey or goat milk and honey).
another favorite is OLIVE OIL!!!!! i use olive oil for a shaving cream, deep conditioner with hair (olive oil and honey, eggs and olive oil, just plain olive oil, ect) body moisturizer in the summer, to cook my foods, and even for a facial wash (oil cleansing method).
and other things i do for beauty=
-Apple Cider vinegar rinse on hair to close cuticles (after washing and conditioning hair just pour ACV over your hair instead of cold water and it closes your cuticles)
-Green tea rinse (same as the ACV rinse except it has added herbal benefits and helps hair become stronger)
-Mayonnaise mask (for your hair. YES you will smell like a sandwich but the smell will wash out lol. and plus mayonnaise makes your hair SUPER shiny and soft and sleek)
Baking Soda and FRESH! lemon juice (for toothpaste) + 2/3 water and 1/3 peroxide (for mouthwash) = WHITE teeth!!!! (and cheaper alternative!

That cellulite trick is AMAZING!!! I am going to give that a try when spring rolls around so by summer I am bikini ready!
