Ive decided to got to cosmetology school and im having alot of trouble looking for scholorships! :/ I was wondering if any of you lovelies have been through this and have some advice for me! What about loans? Is that a good idea or not? what are the best scholorships? best way to go about looking for them? I would very much appreciate the advice thank you :)

I went 7 years ago, and I was eligible for the Hope Grant through the State of Georgia (I went through a Technical College). It wasn't for me in the end (though I still keep my Cosmetology license current), but I really enjoyed what I learned. Have you checked through the FAFSA site to see if you can register for financial aid through them? Loans are tricky, as they charge interest, and that stacks up the cost. Good luck to you :)

i have the fafsa currently filled out, but my family is currently going through a move and so if i did it and they pulled my parents credit it would knock it down some and they need all the points they can get so im going to try after we get all the move stuff figured out! :) but i was just looking for extra stuff i could doall now ya know? :) and thanks im so excited! ive already been told that with my steady artist hand i will be great at cutting hair and i actually cut my own hair and my 2 younger sisters hair and got compliments from a hair stylist on my skills! :D So that kinda is not that big of a deal but it is to me so its kinda helped push me! im excited and ready to do this! :) i just need the money, and my parents cant help at all lol :/

@Kailyn I went to beauty school myself! I went through my high school so fortunately I got credits in high school and they paid for a lot! But I noticed that you are in AZ and that is where I live :) (isnt it sad how hot this fall season has been!) But long story short I didn't finish my beauty school hours I still have about 500 to go. And I am long out of high school so I am in the same situation. I need money to go back but my parents can't help out. But I plan on going to the school I attended because they actually are the most cost efficient and they also have a lot of payments plans and grants/loans through the school itself. Plus the school uses a learning program that is nation wide. So if you happen to go to a different state you would not have to do more hours if needed! I dont know what part of AZ you are in, I am in the east valley. But I would be more than willing to talk about the school I went to and the other schools I know about! :) Plus I would LOVE to hear about the school you are going to, because I have thought about finishing at a different school if there is a better opportunity. you can email hit me up on twitter or facebook if you would like! :) I hope you can figure it out :)
