I have pretty dry/normal skin and I used a sample of the Purity simple and I can say I fell in love with it because it was so gentle. I loved that it removed makeup which make our job more simple. The only thing is that if its shimmery makeup it leaves shimmery residue. But, Overall it was extremely soft and I would recommend. Sorry I didn't help much! :)

I have been using my Purity cleanser for over 7 months now and I can't even imagine what I was using before discovering it. I have normal/combination skin and it leaves my skin feeling soft, clean, and great part is that it doesn't have a strong smell like must cleansers do. Like Rina N. said it really does remove all my make up. Paired up with my Clarisonic it's like heaven.

I'd go for the Purity. I currently use a milk cleanser from another line but from time to time I reach for Purity especially if I wore very little make-up. I do agree with Rina that if you wear shimmery make-up, especially on the lids, it leaves a little bit behind but its no biggie. Plus, if you get the 12 oz size it will last you quite awhile since a little product goes a long way.

Go to Sephora and make them make you a sample of each so then you can try them out to see which one you prefer. The Clear on a Day one is suppose to help with breakouts, but the purity one is good for every skin type because it is very gentle.

You can't really get a sample of On A Clear Day since it comes out as a foam, but I would recommend the Purity one if anything as well, because Purity is more gentle and not as drying as the foam.

Hi,
I am going to recommend using the Purity in lieu of the entire On A Clear Day System.. I have used both lines and the Purity is 10000% Better and Philosphy Honestly is a Line that works well when you interchange the products that work best for you! I know that for a time I had cystic acne and had to swap products like it was cool..using the entire On A Clear Day Line ended up making my skin more oily in spots and dryier in others! I would use their Purity Face Wash then use the On A Clear Day Acne Gel (AM) Which ever mosturizure you choose and then increase twice a day! If you have anymore questions please dont hesitate..I have used almost every product in the Philosphy Line and suffered from Severe Acne so I can help Figure Out which combo of products will help you!
Happy Monday

I suffered from cystic acne too, horrible break outs, and although I am no longer using any Philosophy products, I would say Purity is much more better for acne skin. The cleanser for the "On a Clear Day Line" has Sacylic Acid (I believe) and it's really not gentle on your face and can, and will mostly, irritate your skin more and cause more break outs. I know one of the creams contains sulfer, and I don't think it did anything to my pimples, but make my face dry and very irritated.
I would do Purity as a facial cleanser. Then go to see a dermotologist so they can recommend some topicals to put on your trouble areas after you moisturize.
